When will the next Oscars be awarded?

Info by Series Junkie | 08.02.2015 at 15:27

In this info, I would like to announce the date or appointment for the next Academy Awards - better known as the presentation ceremony of the Oscars. The next Oscar Gala will take place on:

  • February 26, 2017 (89th Academy Awards)

It will be interesting to see which movie or actor will make it best this time. Until then, you can have a look at what film has got the most Oscars so far and what movie could collect the most Oscar nominations up to now.

Past Events

In the following table I want to collect the dates and appointments of the last historical award ceremonies.

  • February 28, 2016 (88th Academy Awards)
  • February 22, 2015 (87th Academy Awards)
  • March 2, 2014 (86th Academy Awards)

  • February 27, 2005 (77th Academy Awards)
  • February 29, 2004 (76th Academy Awards)
  • March 23, 2003 (75th Academy Awards)

  • March 25, 2001 (73rd Academy Awards)
  • March 26, 2000 (72nd Academy Awards)
  • May 16, 1929 (1st Academy Awards)

The first Academy Awards ceremony was held on May 16, 1929. At that time there were only half of the current price categories. Which they were, you can learn in the list of the first Oscar categories.
