Can I leave Contact Lenses without Solution for the whole Night?
Question by Star of Fashion | 2015-12-13 at 16:22
Sometimes when I am overnight at a friends house, I do not have any solution with me. So, I wonder whether it is okay to keep the contacts without any solution or any other liquid for the whole night somewhere. Does someone have some experience about that?

You should never store your contact lenses without solution. It is even not possible to do so. I do not know whether you are using hard or soft contact lenses, but my soft contact lenses are drying out very fast. Some minutes out of liquid and they are so dry and hard that you can never use them again.
Beyond this practical aspect, also hygienic aspects play a role. For more information see the discussion about storing contact lenses without solution over night. In short, you should always use your right solution and you should not use any other things like water or other liquids.
