How to play AVI, FLV and WMV Videos on Android Smartphones

Question by Lily | 2014-06-12 at 14:10

I have some video files on my computer which I would like to watch on my android smartphone on the move.

Especially, I would like to watch some movies in the video formats AVI, FLV and WMV, but they cannot be played by my mobile phone. There is always only an error message (Format not supported).

What can I do to be able to watch such video formats on my smartphone? Do I need a specific App for this or is there any other solution?

Just install the VLC Player for Android or alternatively the BSPlayer.

Using these Apps you are able to play nearly all video and audio formats on your Android mobile phone including AVI, DIVX, FLV, MKV, MOV, MPG, MTS, MP4, M4V, RMVB, WMV, 3GP, MP3, AC3, RTMP, RTMP, RTSP, MMS or streams.
