Mobile Phone showing F-Sign in Status Bar

With interest, I have read your article about all of the signs and characters such as 3G, E, H+ and G in the status bar of a smartphone.
However, my smartphone displays an F character in its bar which is not listed in your article.
Can someone explain to me what the meaning of this symbol could be? Is it also referring to the speed?

At my phone, the F sign (a lower f in a box with rounded corners) is indicating an app notification of the Facebook app.
Whenever I have new messages on Facebook, this sign appears in the status bar so that I now about this.
