Use Adobe Creative Cloud applications offline?

Question by Guest | 2014-02-20 at 18:51

At the moment, I am considering whether I should buy the classic Adobe Creative Suite or already the new Adobe Creative Cloud from Adobe? As I have heard, the advantage of the cloud should be that you always have the current version of every program.

However, an important factor for me is that I can also use the applications of the Creative Cloud offline (that is without Internet connection).

I do not know whether the applications are executed in the browser or on the desktop, but sometimes I am on the move with my laptop in areas I do not have any Internet connection. The application package would only be worthwhile for me if it can be used offline on the move. Does someone know more about that?

The applications of the Adobe Creative Cloud are not executed as a browser version. They are installed normally as desktop applications on your Windows computer or Mac.

Photoshop and all of the other programs are the same in the Creative Suite and the Creative Cloud. Only the License Model is the difference.

So, you can also work with all programs from the Adobe Creative Cloud offline unrestricted. Merely once in a month the program has to go online to check whether your license is still valid. For this, an Internet connection is necessary at this time, but not always.
