PHP: Read out MySQL-Version
Question by Guest | Last update on 2020-02-04 | Created on 2016-02-04
Is there any possibility available with which you can read out the used MySQL-Version with PHP?
I am searching for a way with which you can determine the version of MySQL that is running on my own server out of a PHP script.

You only have to call the function mysqli_get_client_info() or mysqli->client_info to read out the MySQL version.
For example like that:
The function returns a string in which the current MySQL version is stored. So, the script above, could return 8.0.18, for example.
