Hand Washing: Why after instead of before the toilet?
Question by Guest | 2018-03-05 at 21:56
Again and again you hear that it would be absolutely important to wash your hands directly after going to the toilet. On my work, there are even posters on the toilet giving that hint.
When sitting for a little longer in the quiet place, I found the time to think about this rule. The result was the following: In my opinion, it would make much more sense to wash your hands before going to the toilet!
After all, you have all the dirt of the day on your hands and then you touch your most intimate places! It would be much more hygienic to wash your hands first, because this area should really be clean and well-kept by everyone. What do you all mean? When will handwashing make the most sense?

In principle, you are completely right! If you have tackled everything the whole day and then go to the bathroom... Hygiene looks different.
So, I would just suggest a compromise: wash your hands before and after.
First, to protect yourself, then to protect others and not to spread germs. For at least after a big business, washing hands should be a matter of course.
