Google Tips: Search for fragmented phrases with missing words
Info by NetLabel | Last update on 2020-09-03 | Created on 2012-08-11
Sometimes, you want to search for a sentence, of which you do not know all of the words. Or you want to look for two words, between which another word should occur, but that is either unknown or irrelevant or may be arbitrary.
In all of these cases, you can use Google and use the asterisk * for the missing word or phrase.
So for example:
it * big
With this, you can find for example results with "it is big", "it would be big", "it will be big" and all other words between "it" and "big" you can think about.
