Why are pizza boxes square and not round?
Question by Guest | 2018-03-29 at 11:06
The question is already above. I've been wondering for years why a pizza carton is actually not round. Would it not be nicer and more practical to take round boxes?
The pizza does not have so much air around and stays warm even longer! Has anyone ever thought about it?

Very good question! I've never thought about it, I have to admit.
I can only explain that making and folding is easier with square boxes than with round ones. The whole is probably a matter of money and manufacturing.
With round boxes, several parts would have to be put together, I suspect. And of course you do not just have a simple, easy-to-produce straight crease like with square boxes.
