Google Tips: Search for keyword and synonyms simultaneously
Info by NetLabel | 2012-07-22 at 19:21
Often, it is a good idea, to search for synonyms or similar words next to our actual keyword, to get the best results. In former times, for this, you had to run several searches in succession, but today there are other ways provided by Google:
We are simply writing a tilde in front of our search word without spaces in between:
~WiFi
This ensures that even for synonyms of the word will be looked for. The sample searches not only by "WiFi" but at the same time for "W-Lan", "Wi-Fi", "802.11", "Wireless", "Wireless LAN" or "WLan".
So, a search using the tilde can possibly save a lot of work and many different single searches after each other.
