Womens Carnival Day or depending on the respective German region also referred as Altweiber, Weiberfastnacht, Altweiberfastnacht, Weiberfasching, Fettdonnerstag (Fat Thursday) or schmotziger Donnerstag, always takes place on Thursday before Rosenmontag and Ash Wednesday.
