Connect multiple Computers to one Network Cable
Question by Larosso | 2016-06-10 at 18:49
Up to now, I have only used one computer in my room. Therefore, I have only one network cable available for connection. Now, I have bought another second computer and I would like to connect both computers with the Internet.
Of course, I know, I can use wireless lan for that, but I do not want to use that. So, is there any possibility, something like a multiple socket power strip for connecting multiple computers with only one network cable?

Yes, that is quite easy. What you need is a so-called switch.
A switch is something like a multiple socket for your network. You can purchase for example a switch with 4 or 8 ports to connect the corresponding number of computers.
