Delphi: Access a procedure in a child window from anoother child window
Question by Guest | 2026-10-06 at 22:51
I'm converting one of my applications to the MDI structure. However, I have my problems with that.
Example: I create two child windows in addition to the main form. They are displayed - wonderful. What doesn't work is calling a procedure in Child-2 from Child-1. At least not in the way it worked without any problems in the non-MDI application.
Who can help?

Have you included the unit of the window whose procedure you are calling in the uses section?
Otherwise a call in Child2 should be possible with:
If that does not help, it would be helpful if you can tell us the error message that comes up as well as the code snippet in which it happens.
