How long does a cigarette last?
Question by Guest | Last update on 2021-03-25 | Created on 2018-04-29
Can someone tell me how long it takes to smoke a single cigarette? I need this information, because the smoker breaks of some of my colleagues have been a thorn in my side for a long time. I would like to calculate how much working time is really lost.

The average duration is 4-6 minutes.
However, the duration very much depends on how you smoke your cigarette. If you smoke with relish, if you are distracted, engrossed in a conversation and only pull on the cigarette from time to time, it can last 7-8 minutes. On the other hand, if you smoke fast and are in a hurry, you can make a cigarette in 3-5 minutes.
The type of cigarettes also influences the duration. For example, self-stuffed cigarettes are often shorter or very soft stuffed, so that you usually smoke them in 3-4 minutes. In contrast, for a cigarillo, you can plan on up to 20 minutes.
