Does someone know how many stars there are on the US-flag? I have already tried to count them for several times, but each time I am coming to another result.

There are exactly 50 stars on the flag of the United States of America.
Each star is standing for one of the American states. According to §2 United States Flag Code, on Independence Day (July, 4) a new star has to be added to the flag for each state that entered the United States.
In 1776, the flag only had 13 stars that were arranged in a circle standing for the 13 founding charters. Today, the 13 red and white stripes are remembering them.
