jQuery: What is the meaning of slow and fast in jQuery?

With various animations in jQuery, the constants "slow" and "fast" are used in order to specify a duration.
But for what time in milliseconds, are slow and fast standing exactly?

The constant "fast" stands for 200 ms, the constant "slow" for 600 ms. So instead, you can equally indicate the numerical values or any other number in order to achieve a different duration.
