Kitchen Mixer Tuning - Mixer is just too slow!

Question by Guest | 2019-03-08 at 15:45

My kitchen mixer has become incredibly slow the last time! Sometimes I even get the impression that the mixer gets slower from day to day, so baking and mixing are simply not fun anymore!

So my question is: Is there any way to get the device back in gear or tune? I really do not want to give away the good thing... I'm thinking more of a solution to build in a new, faster engine.

Have you controlled whether the gear is still completely clean? If the mixer gets slower and slower over time, it may be because the gearbox is stuck - be it dust, dough, or other dirt. So, the motor must work with full force against the higher resistance - this is at the expense of speed!

On the subject of repair and installing a new engine: unfortunately, it is nowadays for most household appliances that repairing is no longer worthwhile. The cost of repair would be much more expensive than buying a new device.

Another case is, of course, if you really want to assemble a super mixer. Here you have the problem that the engine has to fit into the new mixer. Maybe it would be wise to take the old engine and tune it, for example by tricking at the coil and such stories. But please only if you know about it and you understand what you are doing there!
