How should I keep my mushrooms?
Question by Anna Meyer | 2017-12-25 at 21:20
I'm a big fan of mushrooms and of course mushrooms may not be missing in my kitchen, let it be on the pizza, for breakfast or just in between.
Unfortunately, I never succeed in storing, keeping or picking up the mushrooms for a long time without spoiling. After a short while they are always gone and spoiled. Do you have any tips and tricks on how to best store mushrooms?

Mushrooms should be stored open in the fridge.
Above all, it is important to free the mushrooms from their plastic case if you have bought them that way. Under the plastic, moisture and water is emerging quickly making the mushrooms become moist and dull so that they can easily mold. That's why the mushrooms are best stored open to give the mold no chance.
So stored, the mushrooms should be able to survive for 2-3 days. You should not keep your mushrooms longer, rather you should by new fresh ones after that time.
