Linux/Ubuntu: How to open the Command Prompt or the Terminal?

Question by Guest | 2013-07-23 at 14:51

I have just installed Ubuntu and unfortunately, I can not find the Terminal / the Command Prompt any more.

When using other Linux distributions or at least at the versions I have already used before, it seemed to be much more easier... Can someone help me?

Also in this case, there are several ways leading to Rom:

  • Use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + T
  • Open the Dash (top icon in the left bar) and enter "terminal". After that, the shortcut to the Terminal should appear.

Simply use the way, with which you feel more comfortable.
