WhatsApp: Contact blocked - Group Messages still visible

I blocked one of my contacts on Whats App but I'm still in a group with him. Strangely enough, I still see his contributions from the group, although I have blocked this contact!
Is that normal? And does this contact can also see my messages posted in the group?

Yes that is normal. If you block a contact, groups remain untouched.
Although this contact can not contact you privately after the blocking, in a group you can still see the messages of all participants. Likewise, your locked contact will also see all the messages you write to the group.

Crap! I did not think that! After I blocked the person, I offended him in the group! That went pretty well under the belt... Embarrassing, then he has read all that, too... I thought that he does not see that then.
