Force Smartphone to use LTE
Question by Guest | 2016-04-30 at 15:45
Although I verifiably have a 4G and LTE ready mobile phone as well as a corresponding contract, I never achieve higher speeds and networks than 3G and UMTS! My smartphone is always showing at most the H or H+ symbols in the status bar.
But for what do I have LTE? I finally also want to benefit from the enjoyment of the highest surfing speeds! Is there any possibility to force the smartphone to use LTE always and in each case?

You can determine in the settings of your mobile phone, which of the networks should be used.
Just have a look at the following settings (of course, depending on the model and manufacturer of your device, the menu can be built a little bit different):
But be careful: Generally, the network mode is set to "Auto Mode", which means that the phone is always connecting to the best network currently available. So, maybe, the reason that you are not experiencing LTE is that there is just no LTE network available in your location - and no smartphone can connect to a network that is not present and existing.
