Open Terminal on Mac OS X
Tip by Axuter | 2014-03-26 at 17:43
In this tip, I would like to show you, how to start the Terminal on Mac OS X, in other words the command line on Apple computers. As so often, there are many possibilities to do it:
- Spotlight: After pressing the key combination CMD (⌘) + Space, in the top right corner a small input field "Spotlight" will appear. Usually, it is sufficient to enter the first characters of "Terminal" and you get offered the Terminal and you can open it.
- Dock: Just click in the Dock (program bar at the bottom) on "Applications" and after that on "Utilities". Again, you can find that I can for stopping at the Terminal here.
- Folders: You can also reach the folder "Application" from the right bar of each opened folder.
- Menu: If you click on "Go to" in the menu, you can also find the item "Utilities" and "Terminal" below.
Enjoy using the Terminal.
