Meaning of P and OG in Football Results
Question by PlasmaTV | 2014-07-07 at 22:03
In one of my newspapers, behind some football results respectively soccer scores, the characters OG are written. Behind some other results, you can find the letter P.
My suggestion is, that this is an abbreviation or shortcut for something. But for what?

Both are English abbreviations.
OG is standing for Own Goal. The goal has been shot by a player of the same team.
P is standing for Penalty. The appropriate game was won on penalties.
Your results were obviously achieved through own goals or a penalty.
