Warning if Program has not been unpacked from ZIP-Archive
Blog by Stefan Trost | 2015-03-22 at 18:16
From today on, we have endowed our first applications with a new warning message that strikes whenever the program file has not been extracted and instead has been opened directly out of the ZIP folder.
From time to time we repeatedly received mails saying that specific program features such as the setting storage or the key management are not working properly. The reason was that the program file was still located in the zip archive and the program therefore had no access to the files from its own program directory (where such saved settings and key files might be located). was developed
The new function was developed to draw attention to this fact and to notify the user immediately why certain functions may not work. If it is a new feature has been operated without any problems in the test phase in selected programs, we will gradually equip all our other programs with the warning. As always, feel free to give us feedback.
