Can you wear a corset as normal underwear?

Unfortunately, I have a little tummy that just does not want to go away. I have already tried sports, I have tried to eat less, but it does not help.
At some point I came up with the idea to simply press my stomach into a nicer shape and bought myself first a kind of shapewear. It makes it a bit better, but the result is no as I have imagined.
Now I play with the idea to buy a real (stiff) corset. However, I have no idea at all, but I think a corset will be much more effective than the shapewear.
What do you think, what are your experiences? Can you just wear a corset instead of usual underwear?

First, I have to recommend you not to wear a corset directly on your bare skin as a substitute for underwear. You should always wear a shirt or something like that under the corset. Since the corset is hard to wash, this is always the better choice.
Otherwise, of course, a corset is a lot stiffer than conventional shapewear. This actually makes it much more effective on the one hand, with the right corset you will not have any problems with your stomach any more. On the other hand, a corset can be uncomfortable or at least unfamiliar at first. If you do not like the feeling of tightness, you probably will not enjoy it for long.
If I were you, I'd give it a try, maybe it's really something for you.
