Protein Shake - With milk or water?
Question by Guest | 2018-03-07 at 12:40
I would like to really start my weight training in the gym (muscle building) and I thought that I should treat myself to a protein shake.
I got the powder from the studio and now I wonder if I should take it with water or milk. On the box, it is stated that you should either take water or milk.
But I'm an absolute beginner in terms of sports and training, so I have no idea what is better. What do you all mean?

Some of my colleagues swear to make protein shakes in principle only with water. Their argument is that water has no calories, but milk has, so that you can save the milk calories with drinking a water-based shake.
Personally, I have tried both and find that a protein shake tastes completely bland. That's why I always mix my shakes with milk and only drink water when I'm out of milk.
In principle, it is therefore a matter of taste. If you do not care about the extra calories, it's no better or worse to take one or the other. Just try what you like best.
