Was Russia ever Football World Cup Champion?
Question by Guest | 2018-06-26 at 13:57
Currently, the Football World Cup is being held in Russia. So far I have not been interested in Russian Football, but when I look at their games and how they are playing, I have to say that Russia is not all that bad.
Therefore, my question: Has Russia actually ever managed to become a football world champion?

Russia has never been world football champion.
Compared to how many countries there are in total, who have made it to the world champion so far, Russia is not so bad. So far, the world champion title has always been gone to one of the eight nations Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, France, Spain or England (in order of frequency). Other countries have not yet managed to become world champions.
