Nail Polish Mixing - Is that possible?

Question by Lily | 2012-01-09 at 20:22

Sometimes, I need some shades of nail polish, which I only use rarely. So, I came to the idea to produce it by myself with mixing several types of nail polish. Finally, it is not worthwile to buy a new variety each time you need a new shade if you will use it only once.

But I wonder, whether it can go wrong? Clumping, ingredients that are incompatible or something of that nature may happen, or is this kind of mix possible safely?

Sure, this is possible! And I am doing it often, too! Sometimes, I get wonderful, amazing, glaring and hot colors! I sometimes wonder about that myself!

It is also interestingly, to not stir it until it is mixed completely. With this, you can get interesting splashing effects and lots of colors you can even not buy in this kind!

So definitely give it a try, it can not go wrong and nothing can break!

Another little tip from me: mixed with a small splash of nail polish remover, it ensures even better results!

Cool stuff! You really brought me to an idea! I by myself would never have guessed that!

That's what I'm doing now forever! Actually, I think, you need only the fundamental colors and then the rest can be mixed like it was with the watercolour paint set at school! What you can save with that! I have often bought nail polish sets, which I have only used once and then never again! How many beautiful colors you can get with mixing themn!

You saved my day, really!
